I'd say it's about time for a life update, yeah? I hope the holiday season was excellent for you! Mine was relaxing and hectic all at the same time. My mom had surgery on her foot continuing the family tradition of someone being in the hospital every couple of years during the holiday season. My uncle was in the hospital over Thanksgiving with some health issues, so I guess we doubled up on the tradition this year.
Now, on to the cliché title explanation. You see, today, as you're reading this, I'm driving up to Dallas where my new job is. If you've been following along on Instagram, you already know this. I will be working as a social media manager for a non-profit in the DFW area, which I am extremely excited about! I start tomorrow.
It really is a new year, a new me, a new job, a new city and eventually, a new apartment. Yep, you read that right. I don't have a place yet. Normally this would give me anxiety, but I wanted to be in the area when I'm looking for a place to see where I wanted to live. Luckily I have some amazing friends and family that are helping me out.
What to expect
Over the next couple of months, be prepared to follow along as I find an apartment, move all my things, start my new job and get settled in a new place. I'm excited to share with you all how I'm handling the move (or not handling it as I look at the mess around me while I'm last-minute packing).
While I am still in the very beginning of the process of moving, I have learned one thing. I am so thankful to have an amazing support system in my family and friends throughout this process. I've been reminded that I have some amazing people in my life who do so much for the people they care about.
Thank you for your support, fam. I couldn't do it without you.
